  3. In Fortnite we can find 3 types of elemental husks: Fire, Nature, Water a husk without element uses physical damage. Physical husks have a "standard" colors. Only smashers, zappers, husks, husky husks can have elemental damage. You will start seeing elemental husks once you are in Canny Valley. Elemental husk Damage type and mechanics Fire husk Fire damage, the damage is first applied on your shield, then health Nature husk Nature damage will target your energy first then shield and at the end your health Water husk Water damage will target your shield first then energy Physical husk Physical damage will target your shield first then health Elemental Damage vs Elemental Damage As you might have noticed your guns can roll Damage Elements, there are 5 kinds of elements that apply to weapons: Fire Nature Water Physical Energy Some numbers: Attacking with the same element (f.e Fire vs Fire) will only deal 67% damage of the supposed damage Attacking with a counter element will deal 100% damage of the supposed damage Attacking with any non-counter element will deal 25% damage of the supposed damage Element Is weak against Is good against Comment Fire Water ( ⇩ 25% damage ) Nature ( ⇧ 100% damage ) Fire element damage is only good against Nature husk Nature Fire ( ⇩ 25% damage ) Water ( ⇧ 100% damage ) Nature element damage is only good against Water husk Water Nature ( ⇩ 25% damage ) Fire ( ⇧ 100% damage ) Water element damage is only good against Fire husk Physical Fire Water Nature ( ⇩ 50% damage ) Physical ( ⇧ 100% damage ) Physical element damage is only good against Physical husk Energy - Fire Water Nature Physical ( ⇧ 75% damage ) Energy is decent against all elements, the only downside is that it deals only 75% of the supposed damage Elemental Damage vs Walls By default, husks are dealing 100% base damage on structures. Once you place the wrong material against an elemental damage husk their damage is increased to 200%. Material Is weak against Is good against Comment Wood Fire ( ⇧ 200% damage ) Nature / Water ( normal damage ) It's not recommended to build with wood Stone Water ( ⇧ 200% damage ) Nature / Fire ( normal damage ) You should always build with Stone when you face Nature husks Metal Nature ( ⇧ 200% damage ) Fire / Water ( normal damage ) You should always build with Metal when you face Water husks. I don't like tables! When you face a Fire husks its recommended to build Metal ( because metal constructions provide more hit points ), it's ok to build with Stone. When you face a Water husk it's recommended to build Metal, do not build wood due to the low amount of hitpoints that wooden structures provide. When you face a Nature husk its recommended to build Stone, do not build wood due to the low amount of hitpoints that wooden structures provide. When you face a Physical husk its recommended to build Metal ( for the increased durability of your structures ) but it is also not bad to build Stone
